Hey everyone! If you’ve been to the blog over the last couple of days you may have noticed that something is a little different… the blog name has changed from Frugality Gal to Savor and Savvy.
WHY THE CHANGE?
Most of my posts over the last year have been recipes. I’ve always shared food posts on the site, but since becoming vegetarian last year, it’s really lit a new fire for my passion for food.
Going vegetarian really brought me out of my comfort zone with coming up with creative meals, and overall, I’ve just been excited to share all the new recipes I’ve been into creating lately!
But behind my excitement, I’ve always felt a little guilty, because my site is centered on one topic – frugal living – and I wondered if maybe I’m sharing too little on the main topic and more recipes than a frugal blog should.
I am sad to say goodbye to the old name, but I’m excited for the new direction! I’ll be sharing vegetarian recipes and I think it would be fun to share more desserts, especially with the holiday season coming up!
I’m still frugal at heart, so you’ll still see plenty of inexpensive recipes and meal prepping ideas.
I have been sitting on this name forever. I bought the domain name a while ago, when my husband and I had the idea of starting a food blog together. That idea lasted all of about a week, and I’ve just held onto the website name ever since.
When I started to really think about changing the blog name, I thought Savor and Savvy was a great fit. It will mainly be focused on food, but I can still feel free to share a non-food post every now and then as well.
