Delicious Strawberry Mango Overnight Oats
Meal Prep breakfast for the WIN! This healthy breakfast treat will make you wish you could eat breakfast for EVERY meal of the day! Super easy to make, this will be the perfect grab-and-go breakfast!
Servings 2 jars
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 cup almond milk substitute any milk of your choice
- 3/4 cup mango chopped
- 1/4 cup strawberries chopped
Combine old fashioned oats and almond milk in a bowl.
Layer the jars with the oats mixture, alternating the cut up mangos and strawberries. The top layer will end with the mangos and strawberries.
Allow to sit in fridge for 8 hours to 3 days.
Don't use Steel Cut Oats as they are whole oat kernels that take a lot to break them down. They don’t tend to work as well in overnight oats as they don’t soften and break down as easily.
Don't use Quick Oats as it becomes gummy and breaks down into an unpleasant mush very fast. I haven’t had success with using the quick cooking version.
Stick to the old fashioned oats for these recipes.
