Oven Baked Bacon Wrapped Mushrooms are super simple and oh-so-good! Simply add in your sauce of choice to make this as many different ways as you like in under 30 minutes for a show stopping appetizer.
If you are going to make these into three different varieties, make little foil packets to keep the flavors separated. That is not necessary if you are only making it with one topping.
Clean the mushrooms off by gently wiping them down with a paper towel making sure to get all the dirt off of them.
Cut bacon slices in half.
Take one half a bacon slice and wrap it around the mushroom. Hold it together with a toothpick or small wooden skewer. Place it on the foil.
Add the brown sugar, BBQ sauce or Asian sauce, as desired. This is all personal preference.
Notes
Meal Prep Options: Select your toppings and get them ready. Cut up the bacon into ½ slices. Clean and wrap your mushrooms and place in a pan so they are ready to pop in the oven. Prep the foil and sheet pan to just pop in the oven . If you do these couple of things, you can preheat your oven, drizzle on sauce or sugar, place the mushrooms in the oven and walk away! Reheating: I find that the easiest way to heat them up is by placing them in the microwave. They heat super fast and only need 45 seconds - 1 minute. You can also put them in your air fryer at 375 for 5 minutes or so. Storage: Store these in the refrigerator for 2-3 days is all. Mushrooms aren't great at extended time as a leftover.
Air Fryer Or Ninja Foodi Directions
Make these mushrooms in the air fryer or Ninja Foodi. Use parchment paper to help prevent drips. You can also place a slice or two of bread on the bottom to soak up the bacon grease. Assemble mushrooms as directed, then place on a rack and cook at 350 degrees for 5 minutes then flip. Repeat until the bacon is fully cooked. Make sure to leave space between each mushroom, so it gets an even cook. Use the crisping lid on your Ninja Foodi.
