Frozen bananas give the smoothie the best texture. Add ice to make it more icy instead of creamy. Make sure you use a good quality blender so it turns out the best. Add in any other fruits you enjoy like kiwi, cherries, apples, papaya, or strawberries. Make Ahead: I find that this smoothie recipe is best if you drink it right away. However, you can make it ahead of time if you want to. Just prepare the smoothie and put it in a jar with a lid or cup and put it in the fridge. It will last around 1-2 days in the refrigerator. Be sure to give it a good shake before drinking and enjoy it! We have also learned how to make smoothies in freezer safe jars to drink later! Just like with all smoothies, if you add ice, it will water it down some. I recommend just putting in four or so ice cubes. That way, it’s enough to make it super cold, but not enough to make it over-watery. Try it out and see what the perfect amount is for you.
