This soft, gooey and chewy mixed berry dump cake recipe is packed with a nice sweet and tart berry flavor. It takes five ingredients and five minutes of prep time!
Combine frozen berries, SPLENDA and lemon juice together in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until the berries are evenly coated.
Add the cake mix powder and applesauce to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until the cake mix is thoroughly combined and no dusty bits are left in the bowl.
Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for about 60 minutes.
Remove from oven. Let cool. Serve with a scoop of ice cream if desired (and of course, you desire!).
Notes
The dump cake tastes better the next day. It makes lovely leftovers!Swap out the mixed berries for any of your favorite frozen fruits like cherries, apples, or peaches. Stir the cake mix into the fruit mixture well. Don't let any dry cake mix remain before baking as it won't incorporate into the whole cake. I've tested it out before hoping it would work but it doesn't. You can keep this on the counter for one day or you can keep it refrigerated for up to five days, but I bet you and your kids will eat this well before the five days end!
