The best tools are the ones that pack the biggest punch with the least amount of effort. Sticking to a set of positive habits is not something easily achieved. If you have a bunch like me, these free printable daily habit trackers can become your new go-to for keeping all your good intentions in sight.

I noticed most habit trackers are monthly and this is the kind I’ve been using for so long. I do love a good overview of my positive routine, but I also needed a bit more detail. This is where these daily habit trackers came in!
One is for tracking your habits across different categories (self care, fitness & nutrition, relationships, and personal growth) and the other one is based on the time of the day (morning, afternoon, and evening), allowing you to set a daily habit schedule and stick to it.
Both are designed to print on regular U.S. Letter paper for perfect results at home!
🗃️ Category-Based Daily Habit Tracker

My brain loves to organize things into neat little buckets. If you’re like me, you’ll love this category-based habit tracker. It lets me make sure I’m nurturing all the important parts of my life on a daily basis.
👉Self Care – This is a very wide category but a highly important one. It can be anything from spending 5 minutes meditating and doing a quick stretch, to your morning skin care routine.
👉Fitness & Nutrition – This space is for the habits that keep us moving and well-nourished.
Maybe it’s a quick 20-minute walk around the block, drinking your first glass of water before breakfast, or aiming for a serving of veggies with lunch – these are all small, positive habits that stack up and improve our health and state of mind.
👉Relationships – Life is so much richer when we connect with the people who matter most. This category is for keeping those precious bonds alive, whether it’s with family, friends, or helping someone in need.
👉Personal Growth – I highly recommend you have at least one daily habit that expands your horizons and exercises your brain. It could be reading a chapter of a good book, listening to a podcast on your morning walk, or spending 30 minutes on a hobby you enjoy.
Yes, the habits in this section should definitely be interest-based but also meaningful. This approach has made my days more purposeful and satisfying!
✨ Daily Intention
You might have spotted that lovely little “Daily Intention” spot at the bottom of the category-based tracker, and let me tell you, it’s not just for decoration! This tiny section is actually my favorite part of this printable because it shifts your focus from just doing to being.
It’s a powerful little space to set the tone for your entire day. It could be a simple word like “Patience” or “Joy,” or a short phrase like “Listen more, talk less” or “Find the fun.”
⏳ Time-Based Daily Habit Tracker

If you just find it easier to think about what you want to achieve as the sun moves across the sky, this time-based tracker is built just for that.
I often realize I’ve let a whole chunk of the day slip by without doing that one thing I really wanted to do, so this helps me mentally block out those precious moments for important habits.
It’s conveniently split into three categories:
👉Morning – This section is for the habits that set a positive tone for the entire day.
Things like drinking a large glass of water after waking up, a quick 10-minute walk, or even a few moments of quiet reflection can help us start the day feeling energised both mentally and physically.
👉Afternoon – This is often the tricky middle ground. Afternoons can sometimes feel like a mental slump, but they’re also a fantastic opportunity for a mid-day refresh or a quick re-focus.
Use this section for habits like taking a brisk 15-minute walk to clear your head, stepping away from your screen for a proper break, hydrating with a full glass of water, or perhaps a quick tidy of your workspace to stay on top of things.
👉Evening – Time to wind down, reflect, and prepare for tomorrow! This last section is all about habits that help you relax, recharge, and set yourself up for a peaceful night’s sleep.
This could include reading a chapter of a physical book (no blue light!), doing some gentle stretching, making a quick to-do list for the next day, or even a simple habit like calling a family member for a quick chat.
✍🏻 Notes
I love a good notes section – it’s a space for writing down anything that doesn’t quite fit into a habit box.
Perhaps you need to buy some moisturizer, clean your yoga mat, or have a new workout idea? Write it down in the notes section! Anything you need to do, feel, or observe can go in here.
