My son’s ‘when I grow up’ dreams definitely took a few detours during his school days. But this spirit of dreaming big is worth holding on to! This free printable last day of school interview lets you capture your kids’ youthful enthusiasm and remember those delightfully unrealistic ‘I want to be’ moments forever.

3 ☀️ More End-of-School Fun

I totally regret not using interview printables for my son Spencer while he was in school. Especially for the ‘3 words to describe me’ section which I’m convinced is where the real gold is hidden. Prepare for some truly creative self-assessments that’ll bring guaranteed laughs every time you revisit this sheet.

This free printable last-day-of-school interview is an easy way to make this day more special, even last minute. It was designed to print on regular U.S. Letter paper so you can print it at home with perfect results!

📚 Last Day Of School Interview

The start and end of every school year are important milestones so I wanted this sheet to include the most relevant information and prompts to capture our kids’ personalities.

I’m sure all children will naturally find a way to make this interview sheet special, whether it’s something funny, just plain adorable, or both!

🖼️ All About Me

This section captures a snapshot of your child’s world at this very moment. From their name and age to their height and shoe size, it’s all about documenting who they are right now.

  • Name
  • Age
  • Grade
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Shoe Size

Also there are 2 prompts:

  • “I’m good at…”
  • “I want to get better at…”

and a photo area where your child can add a photo of himself.

For the photo section, consider having your child hold up their favorite book or a drawing they made during the school year. It’s a fun way to add context to their picture.

⭐ My Favorite

Proof they were once this small and this wonderfully weird.

This section is a fun way to see what your child is loving right now. Their favorite color, food, song, book, and more – it’s a glimpse into their current obsessions. And it will be so fun to look at how these preferences change over the years!

This section includes your child’s favorite:

  • Color
  • Food
  • Hobby
  • Subject
  • Song
  • Book
  • Animal
  • Sport

💭 More Memories

This is where things get interesting. We’ve got the ‘3 words to describe me’ section, which is my absolute favorite. Prepare for some truly…unique adjectives.

Then there’s the ‘best friends’ section, which is basically a snapshot of the current playground power dynamics.

And of course, the ‘when I grow up’ dreams – because why not aim for the moon, even if you’re still figuring out how to tie your shoes?

  • 3 words to describe me
  • Best friends
  • ‘When I grow up I want to be…’

Last but not least, the signature line. That’s what makes the “document” official!
