The 12 pre-filled labels have fun and punny names – the most popular wine varieties are included, as well as some generic options.
Feel free to mix and match, though! No one will haunt you for slapping a “Mummy Moscato” label on a bottle of Pinot. It will keep your guests guessing, which makes it even more fun.

✨ Easy Ways To Remove The Original Labels From Wine Bottles
As easy as these printable labels are to use, you must first remove the original ones. Here are some simple label liberation techniques that’ll prep your wine bottles for becoming mystical Halloween concoctions:
👍Baking Soda Method – Great for both empty and full wine bottles.
✅Add 5-10 tablespoons of baking soda to a bucket full of warm water.
✅Let the bottle(s) soak for 30 minutes.
✅The baking soda will help dissolve the glue so the labels should peel off easily or even come off on their own.
👍Steam Method – Great for both empty and full wine bottles (also helps preserve the original label if you’re a collector).
✅Fill a kettle with water, heat it on the stove, and wait for it to produce steam.
✅Wearing an oven mitt (safety first, friends!) hold the wine bottle with the label facing the spout.
✅The steam will loosen the adhesive and you should be able to easily peel the label away.
👍Hot Water Method – Best for empty wine bottles.
This method is great if you’re looking to create some DIY Halloween decor with empty wine bottles. Our printable Halloween wine bottle labels are great for festive mantels, vignettes, and centerpieces!
✅Fill a sink or basin with hot water (not boiling, just hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch).
✅Submerge the bottle up to the label and let it soak for 30 minutes or so.
✅The heat will loosen the glue, making the label easy to peel off.
💡Tip: Use a kitchen sponge, dishwashing detergent, and warm water to remove any remaining glue residues from the bottles.
🖨️ Grab It Now
Ready to put some spirit into your wine bottles this Halloween? Here’s how to download and use our free printable Halloween wine bottle labels.
- Enter your details – Fill in your name and email in the box below.
- Click and conjure – Hit that “Grab It Now” button, and a download link will appear in your inbox.
- Print and personalize – Open the PDF (use the free Adobe Reader or another PDF reader app) and print your labels. Use regular paper. I don’t recommend cardstock for these labels. They’ll be less bendy and more difficult to apply to your bottles.
- Cut and create – Grab your scissors or a paper cutter and carefully snip along the dotted lines.
- Stick and sip – Apply a thin layer of glue stick or clear-drying craft glue to the back of your labels and carefully smooth them onto your wine bottles.
Time for toasting to a frightfully fun Halloween. Cheers!🥂
