It has everything you need for storing and organizing coupons neatly: a cover sheet, 8 category divider sheets, a coupon codes tracker, and binder spines. They were designed to print on regular U.S. Letter paper for perfect results even on a home printer.
Now let’s save some money!
📒 Coupon Binder Cover

Start with a standard 1-inch three-ring binder that has a clear sleeve on the front for the gorgeous cover art. Yes, that matters to gals! If it looks nice, we are more likely to use it. Let’s be honest. 🎀
📂 Coupon Binder Category Dividers

Obviously, the most important thing for creating a well organized coupon binder is sorting your coupons into categories. Well I have that covered for all the main shopping categories.
While they’re great as dividers, these main categories are a bit too broad so I also included the subcategories. It’s so helpful when you’re trying to sort a gazillion coupons!

✍ Coupon Codes Tracker

Online coupons are just as important as the paper ones. And there’s a lot of them!
They come as special discount codes, email incentives, and coupons with barcodes that end up in my inbox. But, I am horrible at remembering these and I usually end up frantically looking through my phone to find them at the checkout line.
That’s why I added a coupon codes tracker to the binder. It gives you space to write down the code and/or print and store them. Easy peasy!
🗃️ Binder Spines

I really love adding spines to my binders. They look classy and they’re easy to spot on the shelf. I includes some of the most common spine sizes in this free printable coupon binder: 1-inch, 1 1/2-inch, 2-inch and 4-inch.
I usually prefer a 1-inch binder for my coupons but you can go as high as 4-inch if you want to.

📓 How To Create Your Own Coupon Binder
So you have all the sheets and it’s time to put them together. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1-inch three ring binder (larger binders work too)
- Plastic sleeves for the page dividers
- Plastic sleeves with pockets (like the ones that organize baseball cards)
- Scissors
- Calculator
- Coupons!

👉Slip the cover page into the front of the binder.
👉Add the divider pages tucked inside plastic sleeves and the baseball card sleeves into the binder.
👉Start adding your coupons to the pockets in the baseball card sleeves.
👉Cut the appropriately sized binder spine and insert it in place.
👉I also like to add an additional sleeve to store the weekly flyers so you remember the specials for the week.
📌Note: If there are a few stores that you frequent, you may find it worthwhile to print the store’s coupon policy and insert it into a sleeve. I can’t tell you how many times that a new employee didn’t know the policy and I had to “help” them!
📋 Coupon Collecting

When you get the coupons in the mail or newspaper, simply clip and slide it into the appropriate sleeve.
Every month or so, clean it out and make sure the expired ones are thrown out. I tend to do this when I do my bills. I’m in “admin mode” and it is easy just to work them on bill day.
Some of my friends go through their coupon binders while they watch TV. It is fairly mindless work, but it does help you save a lot of money!
And speaking of bills, I have to add that coupons are just one of the ways you can save money. Another one that’s even more important is taking control of your finances. This free printable mini budget binder is still my go-to and has everything you need to get on track.
Now that you’re a couponing pro (or at least on your way!), I’d love to hear your best tips and tricks! Got any secret couponing strategies that I missed? Meet me in the comments. The more we share, the more we save!
