Using a Self Care / Wellness Printable Journal takes the first step to putting you and your health first. You have sacrificed so much for others – your aging parents, demanding kids, destructive relationships or toxic job environments. It’s all weighed down too long and it’s time to regroup and nourish yourself.
Most of us have been in situations where we have deposited too much into relationships, jobs, volunteering leaving us feeling depleted and empty. There is no more to give and you feel that you have reached rock bottom.
Choosing to take back the driver’s seat and recharge is not only necessary, it is healthy. Taking the time to choose yourself first so you have the energy to continue to feed others is paramount.

📔 Why Keep a Journal
Keeping a journal full of daily checklists will help monitor yourself daily as a self check in. Taking time to fill in each checklist will allow you to quickly see areas where you are not taking the time to take care of yourself.
Just like using an exercise or food journal, it is so important to document each day the process you are making and you advance on your journey. These logs will allow you to look back and see what is working and what you need to focus more energy on. If you have used our FREE Dot Grid Printable to write out your journaling, checklists and intentions.
📝 What’s Included
There are 11 PDF Pages included in this printables pack including the following pages:
Cover Sheets
There are two different cover sheets for you to download depending on which version you like or which version you align with at this moment in your life.
Monthly Intentions
Each month you will print out this page and work on each section as things you want to do or accomplish. Intentions are set up in areas as Mind, Body, Personal, Finances, Career and Relationships as these are all the areas that need to be addressed when thinking about taking care of yourself as the priority.
- You may want to put in 5000 steps a day because you only rack in 2500 right now due to the nature of your job.
- Look at how you take care of yourself. When was the last time you shaved your legs regularly, made sure you brushed your teeth twice a day, drank enough water? There are many areas that you can take just a few minutes each day to focus on taking care of yourself.
- If you are drowning in debt, document that and the steps you want to change to get out of that situation.
- Is it time to change jobs or actually get a job to feel a sense of self worth? Document that and the tasks you will do this month to work towards that goal.
Daily Journal
This one page checklist allows you to take stock everyday where you are and how you are feeling. Jot down things you are grateful for in the gratitude boxes and don’t forget to document the Highlight of the Day. Even if you feel like there wasn’t a true highlight, dig a little bit and find something in the day that was great.
Wellness Goals
Our journey through self care is never complete unless we take stock in our own personal goals. Take the time to write out your goals and the action steps you are going to take to help achieve them.
For example, if you want to lose weight as a goal – you will need to write down the action steps to work on to achieve the goal of losing weight. Since you are taking care of yourself, check in regularly that you are actually doing things each day to reach those goals. If you don’t keep these visible and work everyday to achieving them, it will be difficult to reach the end game.
Weekly Wellness Tracker
This is a one page snap shot of your upcoming week. Not only does it cover habits, workouts, meal plans but puts your top goals on the top of the sheet as a constant reminder of what you are working towards each day.
Happy Moments
This page should be printed out as many times as you need it each month. Keep them as you move forward through life as it’s so nice to look back and see all of the good when life feels so crummy.
Wellness Routine
Take time each week to fill in your routine from nutrition, exercise and self care. Don’t be afraid to write in the bad stuff…I ate 3 scoops of ice cream. It’s more important to write it down and see what are your triggers for needing 3 scoops of ice cream vs avoiding it all together. This also helps you identify if Tuesdays are a rough day for nutrition or if you happen to not workout on Mondays. Identify what is causing the hiccups so you can adjust and move forward.
Skincare Routine
One area that we often overlook when we stop taking care of ourselves is our skin. Take the time to bring that routine back to the forefront and start documenting what you are doing and what is working morning and evening.
Guided Journal
Guided Journals help us when we don’t know where to start when documenting what is going on in our brains or how to get it all out. There is no right or wrong way to journal. Make sure you understand that whatever you write down IS the right thing to write down. Although we left the PROMPTS empty, here are several to get you started:
- What do you regret doing?
- What do you regret not doing?
- What is your favorite childhood memory and why?
- Describe your perfect job and why?
- What are the top 5 things that happened to you last week?
- What did you do to work towards achieving your goals this week?
- Think about your relationships, what can you do to make them better? What actions do you need to do to make them better from your side?
- Reach out to someone that means something to you and document why they are such a positive influence in your life.
You get the idea. These prompts are endless and can help you unleash a lot of backlog of thoughts and emotions, all while journaling.
Gratitude Journal
One of my favorites as I love to document who is important to me in my life and why. Gratitude should be taken in each day, not just on Thanksgiving each year. Step back and really assess who and what is in your life that you can be grateful they are in your lief.
Take time to look at your inner circle and jot down who and why you are grateful for these sweet souls in your life.
Don’t forget to also remember things you are grateful for and lessons learned.

I wanted to thank you so much for your printable binders! I’m the mom of 5, 2 of which are still at home due to special needs. I was looking for a couple of binders to replace the child ones I was working with but are no longer valid for our needs. You have done so many people a service we might not have otherwise. Thank you!

Stacy!!! You melt my heart so much! Thank you for the sweet words! I have so many friends that have special needs kiddos that if I can offer something to help, I want to do that. Did you snag the 3 page freebies for the Autism Binder to try it out? It works for all special needs.
You are one special mom to those kiddos and they are lucky to have you! Hugs and prayers! Ginny 🙂
