The crockpot is so good at making us dinner, but it’s just as good at making us drinks! Can you believe this fancy and decadent crockpot caramel latte is actually a “dump and go” recipe? Just 5 minutes of prep work and 2 hours later, you’re sipping a delicious, hot latte!

If you’re hosting brunch, this is the PERFECT drink to serve up (besides mimosas, obviously!). It makes enough to serve a small crowd, and you can have delicious cafe-style lattes made in the slow cooker while you prepare the meal.
🥛 Ingredients
You will be so excited when you sip on this tasty and energizing homemade drink. Let’s talk about the main ingredients really quick:
✅Brown sugar: Lattes can be super sweet. Adding a little bit of brown sugar will make it just as delicious as a coffee shop variety.
✅Caramel sauce: You need some caramel drizzle! It’s sweet and so yummy.
✅Coffee & Espresso powder: If you want to jolt yourself awake, then this is just what you need. The combination of espresso powder and strong coffee will give you some energy.
✅Milk
✅Vanilla extract
✅Whipped cream
☕ Instructions
👉Step 1: Add the coffee, milk, caramel sauce, and brown sugar to the slow cooker. Then mix in the espresso powder and stir.
👉Step 2: Turn on the crockpot to low and cook for two hours or on high for 45 minutes.
👉Step 3: Add in the vanilla extract, give it a quick stir, and pour into mugs.
👉Step 4: Top with whipped cream and a little bit of caramel syrup.

📌 Expert Tips
🔸Add some chocolate shavings on top to make it look extra gourmet.
🔸Use non-dairy milk, such as almond milk, instead of dairy.
🔸For a thicker consistency, replace the milk with heavy cream.
🔸Always add the vanilla last. This keeps its delicate flavor bright and strong! If you add it at the beginning, a lot of that lovely flavor can cook off during the long, slow heating.
🔸Leave out the espresso for a milder flavor. We love the extra flavor it gives, but it’s just as good without.
🤎 Fun Caramel Latte Variations
It’s pretty obvious you could turn this caramel latte into a strawberry latte or any other flavor so I won’t suggest anything like this. I mean….we’re all here for a caramel latte!
Instead, here are a few of our favorite ways to enhance that yummy caramel flavor:
⭐Make it a salted caramel latte. This is my personal favorite! Just add a small pinch (about ¼ teaspoon) of sea salt to the slow cooker along with the brown sugar. It doesn’t make it “salty,” it just makes the caramel and coffee flavors pop!
⭐Add a hint of mocha. For a “caramel mocha” vibe, add 2-3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder to the pot along with the espresso powder. The chocolate and caramel are a match made in heaven.
⭐Make it cozy with spices. On a chilly day, I love to add a dash of cinnamon or even a ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to the pot. It makes the whole house smell like a fall bakery.
⭐Make it boozy. If you’re serving this for an evening party, a splash of Kahlua, Bailey’s, or even a dark rum in each mug is absolutely delicious.
⭐Top it with toffee. Instead of just a caramel drizzle at the end, sprinkle some crushed toffee bits over the whipped cream for a fun, crunchy texture!
❓ FAQ
Absolutely! There isn’t any reason to throw it out, because it keeps in the fridge very well. Just store it in an airtight container, and it will last for up to four days. Reheat in the microwave or in a saucepan. Or, if you’d rather, you can drink it over ice for a special treat.
The wonderful thing about this recipe is that you can use any kind or variety of coffee you like. As long as it’s brewed strong, then you are good. Flavored coffees will work well too. Plus, if you drink decaf, it’s more than fine to use that as well.
Yep! This recipe serves six, so you can simply adjust the ingredients based on how many people you will be serving.
