Ways To Use Monthly Calendars
A blank monthly template is a truly versatile planning tool. There are many ways to use it depending on your job, whether you have kids, your physical activities and the list goes on!
Some of them work for most families, so here are the ones I rely on most:
Work planner – There’s nothing wrong with organizing your work to the smallest detail.
In fact, this will streamline your tasks and you can focus on getting things done instead of trying to remember a list of daily duties.
School schedule – It is well known that kids thrive when they have a daily routine in place.
Feel free to use multiple copies of the monthly calendar. You can have one for your children’s chores, another for their daily at-home routine, and one for their extracurricular activities, among others.
Meal prep – Planning and prepping meals ahead is one of my favorite ways to make weekdays more manageable.
It’s also a very efficient solution for keeping the grocery bill low. Meal planning translates into less takeout and less food waste.
Expense tracking – I absolutely love keeping track of my daily expenses and I have a copy of the monthly calendar dedicated just for this.
At the end of the month, I can see exactly how much our family spent. This is just the first step to become more frugal.
It will help you identify those areas where expenses are too high and ultimately find ways to cut the costs.
Event planning – Birthdays, holidays, family get-togethers, and other social events are much needed to bond and socialize with the people we love. If you’re the host, then there’s a lot of work to be done.
Using the monthly calendar will let you schedule shopping, cooking, housecleaning, and anything else that needs to be done before your guests arrive.
There are plenty of other ways to use a monthly calendar sheet, such as workout planning, habit tracking, food journaling, and doctor appointments.
I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it fast and come up with your own ideas too!
How To Resize?
If you need a smaller size than the default U.S. Letter, our monthly calendars can be easily resized. Here’s what you need to do:
- Fill in your details in the field below to download the printable PDF.
- On your computer, open the PDF and navigate to FILE -> PRINT. The Print dialog window will be displayed.
- There, you can see an area called SCALE, and a box called PERCENTAGE next to it.
- Select the SCALE option and adjust the percentage. You can view the resized printable in the preview area.
- Once you’re happy with the change, click the PRINT option.
Note: Enlarging a printable is also possible but not recommended due to possible loss of quality. If you leave the percentage at the default 100% value, the calendar will print at the original size.
