🍽️ Why This Works

Super Fast. Open the package. Cooking these frozen mini pizzas are a snap in just five minutes in the air fryer and an easy snack or party appetizer is ready to go!

Perfectly Crunchy. Nothing is more disappointing than a soggy pizza crust. Fortunately, the air fryer does a great job of crisping up frozen foods perfectly and bagel bites are no exception.

Pre-made Pizzas. No need to grab ingredients, make a mess, or build your own unless you want to customize the bagel bites. That’s a huge convenience factor.

⏲️ Equipment and Tools

Air Fryer | Whether you use a countertop air fryer basket version , an air fryer/microwave combo machine, or even the convection setting on your oven, air-frying food can revolutionize your mealtimes! We love our air fryer.

For this recipe, we used our four qt Ninja basket which held 8 with enough room for good air circulation. We have also used our Instant Vortex Plus 7 in 1 oven style and we prefer to place the mini pizzas in the center.

If you have an oven style and want to use both trays, swap them often as that top rack heats up significantly hotter than the lower one.

Pair of Tongs | Using a pair of tongs to remove the hot bites as they can be dripping with mozzarella cheese and pizza sauce. We don’t want any burnt fingers. They are listed in our Best Air Fryer Accessories.

❗ Expert Tips

Do not thaw frozen bagel bites before popping them in the air fryer. They are designed to cook from frozen and will crisp up perfectly.

Eat with caution! These little mini pizza bagels in air fryer super hot, so give it a minute to cool before you dig in.

Spread the bagel bites out with space in between each one. The air fryer works using circulation of . . . air. If the air cannot circulate, the food will not crisp up or cook evenly.

Pre-heating your air fryer will help frozen bagel bites cook faster and more evenly. As the air fryer gets hot, the food will cook more quickly so subsequent batches may not take as long as the first.

Cook exactly what you need. Pizza bagels in air fryer are best served hot straight from the machine, so if you can avoid leftovers its a good idea. Of course, if you have leftovers you can just reheat them in the air fryer for a couple minutes the next day and they will be fine. Just not quite as good.

🧑‍🍳 Leftovers Storage

If you make a few too many bagel bites in the air fryer, simply pop them in a Ziploc (or air tighter container) bag, place them in your refrigerator, and reheat them for a minute or two in the air fryer when you are ready to eat them.

🍽️ Meal Prep

Stock up on frozen appetizers like this one when you notice a sale at your local grocery store or supermarket. It’s so nice to have a quick snack on hand for hungry teens, college students or of course, ourselves. The air fryer makes so many snack foods accessible fast. Grab this free printable cheat sheet for air fryer cooking times.

🍴 Substitutions

Use your favorite brand. Other brands of mini-pizzas will also work in the air fryer. Choose whichever brand works for you, or even make your own from scratch. We used the pepperoni pizza bagel bites, but Ore-Ida has several different types to choose from.

Make custom bagel bites! If you choose the cheese variety at the store, you can add the toppings of your choice to the bagel bites. Pre-cooked sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red pepper, onions — basically everyone can pick their favorite pizza toppings and have a custom appetizer or snack! Make sure to chop everything very small so that it will fit on a bagel bite.

Recipe FAQ

How long to cook bagel bites in the air fryer?

Five minutes at 375ºF. If your air fryer has presets for temperature, you may need to adjust the time. Check your bagel bites every little bit to see if they are ready.

Can you cook bagel bites in an air fryer?

Yes. It’s fast, easy and the perfect method for cooking pizza bagel bites from frozen.

What are the oven instructions for bagel bites?

Bake them at 425ºF for 12-14 minutes. Check the box for specifics as each variety is slightly different. Allow them to cool for one minute before you eat them.

What are the microwave instructions for bagel bites?

Place all the bagel bites in your microwave and cook for three minutes on high. They will be soft. Allow them to cool for one minute before you eat them.

Can I make ahead bagel bites in the air fryer for my party?

If you need to make a large batch of bagel bites but want the crispiness of the air fryer you can make them ahead and put them in your oven at 250ºF to stay warm but not continue cooking once they are finished. If you have a convection setting on your oven – that’s the same thing as an air fryer only on a larger scale, which is perfect for preparing bagel bites en masse.

Are frozen bagel bites gluten-free?

No. Sadly, this product does not come in a gluten-free version. You might be able to make your own using quartered gluten-free bagel slices and pizza toppings.

How long to cook bagel bites at 400 degrees?

Six to eight minutes at 400 degrees. We prefer 375 degrees, but cooking at a higher temperature works great and will be faster. Keep an eye on them as you don’t want them to burn or get too crispy.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 box Bagel Bites

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375º and arrange a layer of bagel bites in the bottom.
  • Cook the bagel bites for five minutes. Check a bit earlier as all air fryers are slightly different.
  • Allow to cool for a minute or two before taking a bite! They are HOT!

Notes

No Thawing Needed: Do not thaw frozen bagel bites before popping them in the air fryer. They are designed to cook from frozen and will crisp up perfectly.
Eat with Caution: These little mini pizzas come out of the air fryer super hot, so give it a minute to cool before you dig in.
Make Sure to Allow Air Flow: Spread the bagel bites out with space in between each one. The air fryer works using circulation of . . . air. If the air cannot circulate the food will not crisp up or cook evenly.
Pre-heating: Pre-heating your air fryer will help frozen bagel bites cook faster and more evenly. The Ninja doesn’t have a pre-heat function and cooked at 5 minutes total. The Instant Vortex does pre-heat and cooks 4-5 minutes on the middle tray only. Always gauge your machine when trying a new recipe.
Subsequent Batches: As the air fryer gets hot, the food will cook more quickly so subsequent batches may not take as long as the first.
Best Served Hot: Cook exactly what you need. Pizza bagels in air fryer are best served hot straight from the machine, so if you can avoid leftovers its a good idea. Of course, if you have leftovers you can just reheat them in the air fryer for a couple minutes the next day and they will be fine. Just not quite as good.
Storage: If you have leftovers, put them in a sealed bag or container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
Reheating: Leftover bites can be reheated for 1-2 minutes in the air fryer to crisp back up.
