Crispy Air Fryer Frozen Garlic Bread (and Texas Toast Cheese Bread) will be the easiest and one of the fastest side dishes you will make. This crunchy bread comes out perfect to serve with pasta, soups or a big salad.
You are going to love how easy it is to make up a quick batch of bread straight from the freezer, either the standard version or the thicker Texas Toast style.
🍽️ Why This Works
Fast | We love quick recipes, but this one is officially FAST! When making this to serve with a meal, you will whip it up just at the tail end of what your feasting on. They cook that fast.
Easy | You are simply taking out bread and placing it in an appliance. It can’t get easier than that. Grab the kiddos as this is a great one to have them start cooking at a young age.
Make in Quick Batches | This goes so quick that you can whip up a lot in no time, so no one is left without some thick crusty bread to slather up the sauce on the plate.
🥖 Ingredients
Frozen Garlic Bread | There are several brands on the market like Cole’s and New York Bakery.
Texas Toast | There a few more options when you are looking at choosing to do this version. Pepperidge Farms has regular versions plus varieties with cheese. Market Fresh, Great Value, Coles and Joseph Campione are the brands that you will see when you go shopping. All of these will work for this. Ours had the cheese on it so it takes 1-2 minutes more.
⏲️ Equipment and Tools
Air Fryer | All brands will work with these breads. There are just a few items to note. Oven and tray versions like the Instant Vortex Air Fryer Oven or Breville will hold more bread and tend to heat the higher tray hotter so keep that in mind. The basket versions like Ninja, Ninja Foodi, Cosori, Gourmia or PowerXL 5 or 7 qt will only hold 3-4 pieces at a time.
Tongs | Make sure you have a set of tongs ready to pull these out when they are done.
🔥 Instructions
Frozen Garlic Bread
Step One: Heat up the air fryer to 370 degrees and cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping half way through cooking.
Frozen Texas Toast Cheese Bread
Step One: Heat up the air fryer to 340 degrees and cook the garlic bread for 5-7 minutes. There is no need to flip the cheesy version. Regular Texas Toast with no cheese, flip at the 5 minute mark and cook an additional 2 minutes.
Take note of the lower temp on the Texas Toast Cheese Bread which allows the bread to not burn the cheese. If you use a hotter temp, the cheese will burn.
❗ Expert Tips
Don’t remove the bread from the freezer until you are ready to cook. The directions are meant for frozen bread.
When using the cheesy version, make sure to put the cheese side UP and don’t flip it or the cheese will melt onto the machine and it will make a mess.
All machines vary in wattage and how they perform. Always watch the cooking time the first time you cook anything in your air fryer until you know what it does.
Don’t add more than one layer of bread at a time or it won’t crisp up the way you want it to.
Don’t squish too many pieces in at once or the air flow won’t circulate properly and the bread will likely steam instead of get crispy.
Use the AIR FRY button on the machine, if you have a choice.
We love to have a little bit of extra marinara sauce on hand when we serve this for dipping.
Storage
Wrap in aluminum foil and store on the counter for 1-2 days. If you store in the refrigerator, it will dry out and become stale.
Reheating Instructions
Reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 1-2 minutes.

Recipe FAQ
No, you don’t. We didn’t using our Ninja and the times are based on NOT preheating.
If you are going to be cooking in batches, place the already cooked bread in aluminum foil and wrap up while the next batch is cooking.
It’s not necessary. There is so much butter already on the bread that it doesn’t stick. If you are worried, place a parchment liner or silicone liner down and proceed.
